You can apply for a Bolivian tourist visa at Bolivian ports of entry, such as at Bolivia’s international airports and at land border crossings, as well as by mail or in person at Bolivian consulates in the United States. You should allow plenty of time for processing if you plan to apply at a Bolivian consulate. Bolivian tourist visas are valid for five years from the date of issuance and allow the bearer to enter the country three times in a year for a cumulative stay of not more than ninety days.

Applicant must submit their current, signed passport. Visas are stamped into a passport, therefore the original passport is required.
1.2 Photo Requirement
Applicant must submit one color, passport style photograph. The photo must be recent and generally should not be the same used for the passport itself.
1.3 Proof of Travel
Applicant must submit a computer-generated itinerary from a travel agency or online booking tool (such as an e-confirmation or online booking) showing departure from the US and arrival/departure for the destination.
Note, if traveling via private charter the charters manifest should suffice.
1.4 Confirmed Hotel Reservations
Copy of confirmed hotel reservations. Note, If staying with friends or family, a letter of invitation from the host in Bolivia, can be used instead of the hotel reservation. The letter should be addressed to the Embassy of Bolivia, Visa Section and should state the relationship to the applicant, the dates of the visit, and the address and phone number where you will be staying.
1.5 Proof of Finances
Applicant must submit a copy of their most recent monthly bank statement.
The statement must clearly show the applicant's name as the account holder, the balances of the accounts, the date of the statement, and the complete transaction record for the month.
The available balance should be greater than $200 USD per day in country. For example, if spending 5 days in the country, statement should show balance in excess of $1,000 USD.
Parent's or Legal Guardian's Economic Solvency documents are accepted for underage applicants.
1.6 Applicants Under 18yrs
Although applicant may be submitting documents along with other family members, when submitted to an embassy or consulate, applications are treated individually. If applicant is under 18 years old, please view the following link.
1.7 Certificate Good Conduct
Applicant must submit a Good Conduct certificate obtained from a local Police Department. The document must be an original and must either bear the official stamp or seal from the police department or be notarized.
1.8 Medical/Health Requirement
Applicant must submit original copy of an International Certificate of Vaccination for Yellow Fever.
